You Never Know @ the Library
The summer reading program is underway at the Holdrege Area Public Library. Stop by and register, and pick up your packet of materials which includes your reading folder and a calendar of events planned especially for you! Activities for teens include:
Lunch bunch- This book club is for teens who have completed 5th and 6th grades. Bring your friends and something tasty for lunch. In June we will be reading "Rescue Josh McGuire" by Ben Mikaelsen. We will be borrowing extra copies of the book and everyone can join in the conversations about it. In July we will want to hear your take on books you have chosen and liked. This group is limited to 15 participants, and will be held on Tuesdays in the Library Community Room from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. June 5, 12, 19, 26 and July 3, 10, 17, 24.
Mystery and Mayhem Cinema- Movies, friends and snacks! Monday, June 11 and Monday July 16 in the Library Community Room from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. Call the library for movie titles.
Let the Games Begin!- Calling all gamers! No matter whether it's board games or Playstation games that are your choice, you'll find it here! Thursday, June 21st and Thursday July 19th from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
CSI: Crime Scene Inc. Teen Edition- Do you like to make unique creations? This is the place for you! Thursday, June 28th and Thursday July 26 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
"The Cracks in the Wall"- Whose body was found at the "Eddington Memorial Library"? A mystery party for teens who have completed 5th grade and older. Super sleuths please register with the Children's Library staff if we can count on your deductive powers! Monday, July 9th from 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
