Get A Clue @ the Library
The summer reading program is underway at the Holdrege Area Public Library. Stop by and register, and pick up your packet of materials which includes your reading folder and a calendar of events planned especially for you! Activities for children who have completed Kindergarten through 4th grade include:
Reading Buddies- Enjoy listening to stories read by adult volunteers or be the reader yourself. Stories read count toward completing your reading folder. This program will be held in the Library Community Room on Mondays from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. June 4, 11, 18, 25 & July 2, 9, 16 & 23.
Shadows, Suspense & Evidence- Be a detective! Solve today's mysteries and marvel at the mysteries of the past. Amazing activities and mystery guests. This program will be held in the Library Community Room on Tuesdays from 10:30 - 11:30 p.m. June 5, 12, 19, 26, & July 3, 10, 17, & 24
CSI Crime Scene- Engage your imagination and mystify your friends with your creativity!Join us at craft club for a variety of arts and crafts projects. This program will be held Tuesdays from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
- Children who have completed K - 2nd grades are welcome on June 5, 12 and 19.
- Children who have completed 3rd an 4th grades are welcome on June 26, July 3 and 10.
Disappear into a Good Book- Have you been reading a book you really liked? Would you like to hear some great stories and join us for some awesome activities? This book club is for you! Join us in the Library Community Room on Wednesdays from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on June 6, 13, 20, 27 and July 11, 18 and 25.
Summer Cinema- Bring your favorite pillow, blanket or bean bag chair to relax on. Don't forget to ask a friend to join you! Snacks and drink generously provided by First National Bank and Tier One Bank. This program will be held on Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Library Community Room on Jlune 14th and July 12th.
Mystery Party!- This program is for children who have completed 2nd through 4th grades. Come help us solve the mystery of the "Crime Caper" on Tuesday, July 24th from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room.
Cody Landstrom- For all summer readers. Be dazzled by his magic and juggling talents! Be tickled by his comedy! Wednesday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Library Community Room.

Kids Video Afternoon
 Summer afternoons were never so fun! Kids through 4th grade bring pillows, blankets, beanbags and friends, and settle in for a afternoon of shared fun. Thanks to FirstTier Bank and First National Bank for providing snacks!
Accelerated Reading
The Accelerated Reading titles available here at the library may be located by clicking the AR button on the Online Catalog button bar. You will be presented with a search screen that allows you to look for titles by reading level, point level, subject and/or author.
